When I prompted folks for a word to describe their dogs, Lisa responded with “Devoted” to describe her daughter Kaylee’s dog, Cody. Even while Kaylee is away at college, Cody brings a smile to her face everyday!
“When my daughter Kaylee wanted a dog, she wanted a lab…It was Christmas time and when she finally saw there was a lab available they told us someone had a hold on him. They took our number just in case.... and happily the rest is history. Cody smiles through life especially when he’s with his family. Now that Kaylee is away at college, we FaceTime her daily with Cody and they “talk” about their days! He brings a smile to her face each day even while they’re over a thousand miles apart. Even miles apart, he’s there for her. He misses Brianna as well and keeps Abby company while her sisters are away. We all enjoy sharing Cody’s favorite things like going for a walk at Avalon Park in Stony Brook and hanging out at Stony Brook Harbor watching the sun set! He makes us laugh like when we are getting ready to take him for a walk and harness him up, and he grabs the handle of the leash making it look like his taking himself for a walk around the house! Cody is such an important part of our family. He brings joy to all of us. He is so much more than a dog. He represents strength, support and love which is what he continues to bless our family with each and every day.” #PetStoryProject
Thank you Lisa for sharing your story about Cody- I think he will bring a smile to everyone's face!
